We have all the things<\/h3>\n<p>Looking for books?\u00a0 Sure, we\u2019ve got books.\u00a0 But did you also know we check out graphing calculators?\u00a0 DVDs?\u00a0 Audiobooks?\u00a0 Headphones? \u00a0CDs? \u00a0Scanners? \u00a0Yes, we have all of those, too.\u00a0 Search our <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/webvoyage.atu.edu\/vwebv\/searchBasic.\" target=\"_blank\">catalog<\/a><\/strong> to find all of this and more.\u00a0 If you just need a quiet place to study, print your paper, or book a study room, we offer that, too.<a href=\"http:\/\/webvoyage.atu.edu\/vwebv\/searchBasic\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1137\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.atu.edu\/library\/files\/2014\/08\/allthethings1.jpg?resize=391%2C568\" alt=\"All the things\" width=\"391\" height=\"568\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>2. Get started with\u00a0Libguides<\/h3>\n<p>There are so many resource at the Library, it can be overwhelming to find the right resource for your topic.\u00a0 Where do you start?\u00a0 <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/libguides.atu.edu\/home\" target=\"_blank\">LibGuides<\/a><\/strong> can give you direction for finding books, articles, and search strategies for whatever assignment is thrown at you.\u00a0 Compiled by librarians, each guide is tailored for a specific subject, and in some cases, a specific course.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/libguides.atu.edu\/home\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1155\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.atu.edu\/library\/files\/2014\/08\/libguides1.png?resize=472%2C630\" alt=\"libguides\" width=\"472\" height=\"630\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>\u00a03. Learn anything with online tutorials<\/h3>\n<p>Whether you want to brush up on your Spanish or learn Microsoft Excel, the Library can help you further your education from the comfort of your own dorm room.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/libguides.atu.edu\/mango\" target=\"_blank\">Mango Languages<\/a><\/strong> feature online tutorials for learning 63 languages, including Japanese, English as a second language, and Pirate.<\/li>\n<li>If you are more interested in learning software, create an account with the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.atu.edu\/etech\/vtc.php\" target=\"_blank\">Virtual Training Center<\/a><\/strong> (VTC).\u00a0 As a student (or faculty\/staff), you have free access to over 98,000 video tutorials on programming, databases, web design, or basic computer courses through the VTC.<\/li>\n<li>For help using library resources, check out our own <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/library.atu.edu\/help\/tutorials\/\" target=\"_blank\">Library Tutorials<\/a><\/strong> page, featuring videos on using Dewey Decimal, online library resources, interlibrary loan, and other services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_1141\" style=\"width: 410px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/library.atu.edu\/help\/tutorials\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1141\" class=\"wp-image-1141 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.atu.edu\/library\/files\/2014\/08\/post-38723-Neo-I-know-kung-fu-gif-Imgur-bUjp.gif?resize=400%2C200\" alt=\"Keanu Reeve's face\" width=\"400\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1141\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">(Kung Fu tutorials not yet available)<\/p><\/div>\n<h3>4. Credo Reference is your new best friend<\/h3>\n<p>Think of Wikipedia.\u00a0 Now imagine if it was a reputable, scholarly resource which could connect you to articles, books, and other academic resources about your specific topic.\u00a0 That\u2019s <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/libcatalog.atu.edu\/login?url=http:\/\/www.credoreference.com\" target=\"_blank\">Credo Reference<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 Comprised of hundreds of encyclopedias and dictionaries, it can mean\u00a0one-stop shopping for many research assignments.\u00a0 We love it so much, we put it on our homepage.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/libcatalog.atu.edu\/login?url=http:\/\/www.credoreference.com\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1143 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.atu.edu\/library\/files\/2014\/08\/credo.png?resize=595%2C288\" alt=\"credo\" width=\"595\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>5. We give away fabulous prizes on social media<\/h3>\n<p>Last year, we gave away books, buttons, and even a Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver on our Facebook and Twitter accounts.\u00a0\u00a0 We also gave away free information about our hours, events, and new additions to the library.\u00a0 <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/arkansastechlibrary\" target=\"_blank\">Like us<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0&amp;<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ATULibrary\" target=\"_blank\">follow us<\/a><\/strong>. \u00a0We might even be giving away something right now&#8230;<\/p>\n<h3>6. We\u2019re constantly acquiring\u00a0new stuff<\/h3>\n<p>The Library continues to add new books, DVDs, and other materials as the semester progresses.\u00a0 You can keep up new items by clicking the<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/library.atu.edu\/services\/newitems.php\" target=\"_blank\">Open Your Mind<\/a><\/strong> logo on the top right corner of our homepage.\u00a0 That will take you to a list of recently purchased\u00a0books, movies, and music.<\/p>\n<p>If you are in the library and would like to browse just the new books, we also have a<a href=\"http:\/\/library.atu.edu\/help\/AZ\/1-new_books.php\" target=\"_blank\"><strong> new books section<\/strong><\/a> in the lobby, near the south entrance.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/library.atu.edu\/services\/newitems.php\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1145 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.atu.edu\/library\/files\/2014\/08\/openyourmind.png?resize=626%2C273\" alt=\"openyourmind\" width=\"626\" height=\"273\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>7.
