Francis<\/a><\/strong>, &amp; 453 journals from <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.atu.edu\/jstor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JSTOR&#8217;s Arts and Sciences V and VI collections<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Periodic pop-up libraries through-out the year to improve outreach and advertising of our great book collections.<\/li>\n<li>Reduced noise on the 2nd floor by moving more evening personnel to the quiet floor.<\/li>\n<li>Added access to printers from the study room computers.<\/li>\n<li>Revamped freshmen orientation tours to describe more about the services we provide.<\/li>\n<li>Remained open during inclement weather days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In some cases, you&#8217;ve made some great suggestions for things we ALREADY have, but just not advertised as well as we should.\u00a0 For example&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Did you know we have a gender-neutral bathroom?\u00a0 This frequently asked-for facility is a bit hidden, but you can find it just outside of campus support at the north entrance.<\/li>\n<li>Want to renew books online?\u00a0 Yes, you can!\u00a0 Just go to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/arkansastechuniversity.on.worldcat.org\/discovery\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">findit.atu.edu<\/a><\/strong> and sign-in to review your checked-out items and renew them online.<\/li>\n<li>Need computers with webcams for Respondus tests?\u00a0 We have the next best thing.\u00a0 You can actually check-out webcams from the Circulation Desk for all your test-taking needs.\u00a0 We even check-out laptops with webcams included.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some requests, however, remain just out of reach:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Expansion of Hours<\/strong>&#8211;This is the number one request since the survey began.\u00a0 Currently, the Ross Pendergraft Library &amp; Technology ranks <em><strong>fourth<\/strong><\/em> in the amount of open hours offered at a four-year, public academic library in Arkansas.\u00a0 While we would love to expand hours, we cannot safely do so without additional staff.\u00a0 But keep telling us what hours you want!\u00a0 Open later on Fridays?\u00a0 Earlier on Sundays?\u00a0 24-Hours\/7 Days?\u00a0 We will do what we can with the resources we have.<\/li>\n<li><strong>More Study Rooms<\/strong>&#8211;With only 10 study rooms, we know it can be difficult to find an empty one when you need it.\u00a0 We recommend <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bookit.atu.edu\/reserve\/StudyRooms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">booking a study room<\/a><\/strong> as early as possible.\u00a0 These go fast, particularly in the evening.\u00a0 We hope we can add additional rooms in the future, but keep asking!\u00a0 Your feedback and usage protects our existing spaces for student use.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Food in the Library<\/strong>&#8211;Like you, we also enjoy eating ribs and reading, but sometimes the two activities don&#8217;t mix.\u00a0 Food can bring pests and frankly, we&#8217;re scared of the ants reading our collection and becoming too powerful with knowledge.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Digitize the DVD Collection<\/strong>&#8211;We would be violating a lot of laws to do this, and our librarians are still on probation for shushing in the second degree.\u00a0 But you can always check out our (totally legal) streaming video collection through <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.atu.edu\/swank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Swank<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.atu.edu\/kanopy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kanopy<\/a><\/strong>, or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.atu.edu\/avon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Academic Videos Online<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We hope you will continue to tell us what we do best and what we can do better on this year&#8217;s <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/questionpro.com\/t\/ADooIZwmzQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">survey<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 If you want a more direct approach, send us a <a href=\"sms:+1-479-802-4876\"><strong>text<\/strong><\/a>, <strong><a href=\"mailto:askus@atu.libanswers.com\">email<\/a><\/strong>, or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.atu.edu\/research\/help\/askus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chat<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 If you prefer the socials, we can be found on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ATULibrary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/arkansastechlibrary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.instagram.com\/atulibrary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 No matter how you do it, let us know how we can make your library better (aside from chocolate fountains and seafood buffets).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The annual library survey is now live and listening: https:\/\/questionpro.com\/t\/ADooIZwmzQ Tell us how the library&#8217;s collections, services, and spaces mattered to YOU in 2022.\u00a0 If you\u2019ve ever used our website or stepped foot in any of the library buildings (Ozark Campus Library or the Ross Pendergraft Library &amp;
