An entirely new floor with a cafeteria and espresso machine?<\/p>\n<p>From now until <strong>March 21<sup>st<\/sup>,<\/strong> when the survey closes, is your chance to let us know how we can improve and what we\u2019re doing right.<\/p>\n<p>As a direct result of your feedback on past surveys, we\u2019ve made a lot of changes already:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-4100\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.atu.edu\/library\/files\/2025\/02\/booth.jpg?resize=339%2C254\" alt=\"Photograph of diner booth seating at a library table, featuring two large, high-backed gray benches and a wooden, blond table.\" width=\"339\" height=\"254\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.atu.edu\/library\/files\/2025\/02\/booth.jpg?w=400&amp;ssl=1 400w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.atu.edu\/library\/files\/2025\/02\/booth.jpg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 339px) 100vw, 339px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You wanted more comfortable seating and more places in the library to study, so last summer, we renovated a part of the first floor, removed or relocated some outdated books, and added booth seating and study cubicles\u2014creating more study spaces with more attractive, private, and comfortable seating.<\/li>\n<li>Many of you said you wanted audiobooks on Libby, so we now have almost 600 of them through the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.atu.edu\/library\/2023\/08\/17\/get-in-the-car-with-overdrive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Libby app<\/a>. Now you can have more debates with your friends about whether listening to an audiobook counts as \u201creading.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Snacks are now allowed! Just keep Dorito dust off the books.<\/li>\n<li>We added a water bottle refill station on the first floor, near the restrooms.<\/li>\n<li>Some of you said we want to stay more informed about the library, so we increased the quality and frequency of our <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.instagram.com\/atulibrary\">social media presence<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>We added a supply vending machine to get last minute scantrons, charging cables, and playing cards to get through the late-night study sessions.<\/li>\n<li>Every year, we hear that you want more quality journal access, and every year, we try to deliver. This past year, we expanded <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.atu.edu\/az\/jstor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JSTOR<\/a><\/strong> and added access to local and state newspapers with <a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.atu.edu\/az\/americas-news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>America\u2019s News<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>You told us some of the computers were getting slower, so we upgraded the Apple computers on the third floor and added docking stations to every floor so you can bring your laptop and plug and play (thanks to our good friends in the Office of Information Systems).<\/li>\n<li>We can all agree the elevators were sometimes unreliable.
