{"id":504,"date":"2013-08-22T05:00:08","date_gmt":"2013-08-22T05:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.atu.edu\/library\/?p=504"},"modified":"2013-08-21T22:46:34","modified_gmt":"2013-08-21T22:46:34","slug":"tonight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.atu.edu\/library\/2013\/08\/22\/tonight\/","title":{"rendered":"Tonight!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Join us this evening at 7:00 P.M. as we host a panel discussion on the Battle at Dardenelle and other skirmishes in Arkansas, presented by historians Wayne Phillips, Paul Staton, and Michael Whitaker in the Ross Pendergraft Library &amp; Technology Center, room 300.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gilderlehrman.org\/civilwar150\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-505\" alt=\"Civil War 150 Traveling Exhibit\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.atu.edu\/library\/files\/2013\/08\/P1010025.jpg?resize=398%2C298\" width=\"398\" height=\"298\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The guest lecture is part of our month-long recognition of the 150th anniversary\u00a0of the Civil War, featuring speakers, musicians, and a traveling exhibit called,\u00a0<em>Civil War 150: Explaining the W<\/em><em>a<\/em><em>r and Its Meaning Through the\u00a0<\/em><em>Words of Those Who Lived It. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>The exhibit panels, located near the south entrance to the Library,\u00a0depict events and primary source documents from the Civil War such as newspaper headlines, portraits, and photographs.<\/p>\n<p>In our exhibit cases at the north entrance, you&#8217;ll also find a collection of Civil War era artifacts including a sword, confederate currency, bullets, a powder horn, and other antiques loan from Paul M.
