Here are detailed directions for that process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1) Initiate the endorsement request process by going to ATU&#8217;s&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.atu.edu\/teacherlicensure\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Teacher Licensure<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>webpage and following the step-by-step directions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2) After the above steps have been completed, email the following&nbsp;<strong>documentation&nbsp;<\/strong>to Dr. David Bell (ATU&#8217;s Licensure Officer) at&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:dbell@atu.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>dbell@atu.edu<\/strong><\/a>:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;a) a copy of your current teacher&#8217;s license<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0 \u00a0b) a copy of your\u00a0SLLA\u00a0paperwork showing your score (<strong>Update: No longer needed. See below.<\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0 \u00a0c) a letter from your superintendent (or designee) verifying a minimum of three years teaching experience<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once Dr. Bell receives these materials, he will finalize your DESE electronic application, then send you an email confirming that your application and required documentation has been forwarded to DESE for final processing. You should receive your updated license three to four weeks after that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As usual, please feel free to contact Dr. Morelan (EDLD Program Director) if you have questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>NOTE: Regarding the SLLA 6990 (a.k.a. Praxis), the state previously required a passing score on this exam before you could apply.
