“My Favorite Things”

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens, brown paper packages tied up with strings those are a few of my favorite things.

However not only those, but I also found out new favorite things after I came to Europe. In here, all of the sight seems like art in museums to me. Once, I stopped walking and look around there is beautiful sights spread in front of me. As capture these moments, I started to draw what I saw in my notebook.

When I went trip to Italy, beauty of Florence was absolutely speechless. At Renaissance era, there is huge art movement happened led by Michelangelo, Leonardo Davin chi, etc.

Actually, Renaissance meaning reborn. In this period of time, they had new style of art such as portraits, oils paint with three demotions and exact ratios of beauty of humanity that was not excited before.

When Michelangelo was 23 years old, he completed “Pieta”. Which stored in cathedral, the smallest country in the world, Vatican City. It is crazy to think about when he completed this project, I am the same age as him. It made me feel I can do more big things and encouraged me by no means.

Art has power to stored memories, histories, movements. Also, it has power to speak to people’s heart. I am not an artist like them, but it made me realize it is important and fun to express what I felt inside of me at each place and every moment. I would like to keep capturing small new versions of me.
