I don\u2019t even know where to start! I think we\u2019re finally starting to get used to the lifestyle
\nhere. Something that I found to be a little weird is that their times to eat here are very different
\nfrom our times to eat. They don\u2019t really eat breakfast here so by the time we have a break at
\nschool, we\u2019re starving. They eat lunch at around 12:00-4:00 then most places close from 4:00-
\n8:00 for \u201csiesta\u201d which means \u201cnap\u201d. I don\u2019t think the majority of people really nap, but after
\nthat, dinner is usually anywhere from 9:30-11:00. The way we spend our free time here is very
\ndifferent from the way we spend it in Arkansas. Back home I didn\u2019t go out much because to be
\nhonest, there\u2019s not a lot to do in Arkansas. There\u2019s something new to do here every weekend!
\nWalking along the river, window shopping, bike riding, hanging out with friends, etc.!<\/p>\n

I definitely feel like I\u2019ve opened up a lot more and I\u2019m more open to making new friends. I don\u2019t
\nhesitate as much here, it\u2019s like this experience is what I needed to push me to be more
\nextroverted.<\/p>\n

Moving on to food, the first few weeks we were here we went out to eat a lot, and
\nwe\u2019ve recently started cooking more. Our favorite thing to eat here so far would be a dish that\u2019s
\ncalled \u201cPatatas Bravas\u201d which translates to something like \u201cAngry Potatoes\u201d. It\u2019s a very cute
\nname, it\u2019s basically diced potatoes that have been fried in a pan and they are usually topped with
\nhomemade mayonnaise, aioli, and a \u201cspicy\u201d sauce. We\u2019ve quickly learned that the Spanish have
\na very low tolerance for spicy foods. Since it\u2019s so easy to make, it\u2019s something that I plan on
\nmaking back in Arkansas when I go back. It\u2019s delicious and I would highly recommend it to
\nanyone that is a big potato lover!<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve made some more friends recently and decided to invite
\nsome of them on our first trip without the university. Our new friends are named Seo and Ellie!
\nSeo is from South Korea and has been here for 3 months already! Ellie is from Missouri, she got
\nhere around the same time as us, but she\u2019s only staying until mid-March. Our trip to La Ba\u00f1eza
\nand Astorga was such a blast, we got lost a few times, but it was worth it. I think we really
\nbonded with our new friends. We visited the Palace of Gaudi which was GORGEOUS! If you
\nthought the Burgos Cathedral was castle-like then you need to see the Palace of Gaudi! La
\nBa\u00f1eza is a smaller town compared to Astorga, so there wasn\u2019t much to do there other than look
\nat some cool graffiti! I included a picture of one of my favorite pieces, I can\u2019t believe it\u2019s all
\ndone by hand. Not much has changed, I think we\u2019ll be going on another school trip soon which is
\nsuper exciting. I can\u2019t wait to share more stories and pictures with you guys, thank you so much
\nfor following me along on my journey so far!<\/p>\n
