The Last Leg<\/p>\n
I can believe it\u2019s already almost time to head back. Having spent Almost three full months here in Japan, I know that I will miss everything about it. With everything that I\u2019ve seen and done I considered staying another semester. My daily life feels so different than how it uses to be in America. Kendo and table tennis club keep me busy, and I am always going out and learning more with my friends. I\u2019ve developed an interest in Shinto and Japanese literature. I feel accomplished for my ability to function in a nation where I did not know the language. At the university I run into many friends from other countries and the domestic students. I mostly spend my free time with productive hobbies and some artistic ones as well. I\u2019ve learned to draw and am learning how to produce music currently. Public transportation in Japan is easily to navigate now and I\u2019ve visited some beautiful areas in the country. Japan has many smaller features that I\u2019ve come to love such as the layout of their cities look amazing, many things have a jingle to it, and how the smell of food lures you into the restaurants. While I\u2019ve had the pleasure of traveling alongside many amazing people, my favorite person to travel with is also from my home university. Terry has been a great friend how has been able to liven any event or party. Before this trip I would have never know how great of a person he is despite still seeing him around campus. Regarding my most recent trip to Tokyo, I was shocked to see the amount of people that were in the station upon my arrival. As this was the biggest city with the most population, I expected a lot of people and was still surprised. This city is beautiful with two very different atmospheres depending on the time of day. During the day it bustles as people make their commute to work or school, and many foreigners roam around shopping and visiting landmarks. At night it was also very lively with people playing music on the side of the roads and others<\/p>\n
enjoying karaoke or eating out. During this time, I stayed in Shinjuku, and tried to see as much as possible. I wish I could\u2019ve stayed longer, but it couldn\u2019t skip classes to expend my stay. As usual I will share some of my pictures that I\u2019ve taken while traveling in Japan.<\/p>\n
