traveling through many European countries. Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, and France! So far on my journey (about a week in), I’ve been to the first three from the list. As I’m typing this, I am on route to the Netherlands. I’ll give you the highlights of my<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-628 alignright" and Thun. Bern was planned, Thun was more spur of the moment. One<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-630 alignleft" has friends who study in Bern; they were more than happy to show us all of the two cities. In Thun, we sat by the lake and watched the boats and waves pass by. In Bern, we rented bicycles and rode around the city. Probably the most fun I’ve had in my whole life was going downhill.
After Switzerland, I journeyed to Brussels in Belgium. This time it was just Stephanie and I, so I wa<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-629 alignright" src="http://blogs.atu.edu/studyabroad/files/2017/04/received_1343085149093711.jpeg" alt="" out, most of them were also on their uni<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-633 alignleft" out into the city to sightsee. Over the course of the next two days, I grew very close to these new friends. So much so that it was hard to say goodbye when the time came to depart. We all exchanged social media information, so to keep in touch.
From Belgium, we went to Germany. Two cities where our destinations: Köln (Cologne) and Berlin. Out of the two, I was more excited to see Köln, given that I learned so much about it from my German class back at Arkansas Tec<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-634 alignleft" think the thing that I was most excited to see was the legendary Kölner Dom (Cologne Cathedral). Funny enough, it was right next to the train station we arrived in, but we didn’t notice it until the second time we went by it. Let me tell you, the Cathedral was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen in my whole life. I could have sat and looked at it forever. We even came back at night while it was lit up from the street lamps and moon and it was even more breathtaking.
In Berlin, the capital of Germnay, I learned so much history concerning the founding of Germany and Berlin itself. We saw the Berlin Wall and where it once stood all throughout the city. I even got a piece of it as a souvenier. I really wanted to see Angela Merkel, maybe even get a selfie with the legendary woman, but sadly I did not see her.
Well that is all that as passed so far. On my next blog post, after my trip, I will post what happens in the Netherlands and France.

Until next time!

Caleb Mott

Dear
